Amina Technologies has introduced its OptiDrive Invisible Speaker Technology, as well as the new Evolution Series Invisible Loudspeakers, the very first loudspeakers to utilize OptiDrive technology.
The new Evolution Series Invisible Loudspeakers are the first loudspeakers to utilize OptiDrive invisible speaker technology.
OptiDrive technology boosts high frequency output, according to the company, creating a clarity of audio reproduction normally associated with expensive tweeter based audiophile equipment. OptiDrive technology has further extended its already extremely wide high frequency dispersion. In practice this means super wide sweet spots in residential home theaters, and the use of considerably less loudspeakers overall in large commercial venues.
The first product implementation using the new OptiDrive technology will be the AIW350, which is available to ship immediately. It boosts an efficiency rating of 84dB, 1m/1w, and that is after applying a full 2mm skim coat and finishing with usual decoration materials such as paint or wall paper. It has a maximum continuous power rating of 40w and peak power rating of 80w.
The AIW350 also features Amina’s latest Neodymium based advanced high power exciter technology, which is used to extend the products low frequency reproduction. The AIW350 utilizes the company’s existing range of steel and sound isolation backbox accessories available for fire rated plenums, block wall structures, stud walls and ceilings.
Amina will be releasing further OptiDrive based products in the next few months.
