AmTRAN Video Corp. has introduced the new JVC-brand 28-inch Class EM28T HD 720p D-LED HDTV, a high-value, high-performance HDTV offering ideal for space-conscious environments and near-field gaming systems.
With its direct LED backlighting array, the slim bezel EM28T delivers a uniform image, further enhanced by JVC’s CrystalColor Enhancement for improved color reproduction, sharpness, and vibrancy. The 1366 x 768 display also benefits from user adjustable picture modes, a built-in NTSC / ATSC / Clear QAM tuner, and 6M:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
The EM28T’s Integrative Setup Guide also delivers intuitive access to the display’s basic and advanced configuration features, including the mode’s input port-naming capabilities, as well as Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), a feature that allows end-users to easily control as many as 15 compatible, HDMI-connected devices.
In addition, the EM28T’s USB media port makes it easy to view and listen to personal picture, music, and video collections. Also included are Audio Return Channel compatibilities, an antenna input, component and composite video inputs, a VGA input, and a music port, as well as an Audio Only mode to conserve energy while listening to music. Other energy-saving features include Auto Power Off and full Energy Star 6.0 certification. It also features V-Chip 2.0 parental controls.

As with the rest of the Emerald Series lineup, the EM28T boasts not only MTS stereo decoding, but also Dolby Digital processing, with 5.1-channel pass-through capabilities via its Optical Digital or HDMI-ARC outputs.
JVC-Kenwood has licensed AmTRAN Video Corporation (AVC) to manufacture and market the 28-inch Class EM28T HD 720p D-LED HDTV in North America.
The JVC EM28T HDTV is currently available at a suggested retail price of $189.99.
