Arlington has launched the new, non-conductive Vapor Box, which nails to studs in new construction. Designed for ease of installation, the box’s gaskets form a protective barrier that prevents air infiltration inside to meet International Energy Conservation Codes (IECC) and other codes where required.
For added convenience, the nails ship captive and the installed NM cable connectors and flange have the gasket material attached, so no assembly is required. The built-in gasketed flange has ultra-thin alignment tabs to prevent drywall bulge.
The Vapor Box measures 22.8 cubic inches, and is for 1/2-inch or 5/8-inch drywall. It is UL listed, UV rated, and has a 2-hour fire rating.
