ASCENDO Immersive Audio GmbH will be unveiling the company’s latest innovation—the AIA2-10K2 IS 1U 19-inch amplifier at ISE 2025, February 4–7, 2025, in Stand #2E300.

In its journey to perfect the ultimate home theater experience, ASCENDO encountered a significant challenge: Existing amplifiers, even beefy commercial models, simply couldn’t meet the extreme demands of delivering full power at sub-20Hz frequencies, down to the lowest single digits. Most commercial amplifiers, especially those designed for public address (PA) systems, focus on short-term bass output. They’re built for rock concerts where saving space and weight is critical, and where amplifiers only need to deliver high power for 20 to 40 milliseconds, and rarely below 35 Hz.

But home theaters are a different arena. They require continuous, sustained power, especially in the low-frequency effects (LFE) range. The typical PA amplifier, with its lightweight power supply and reliance on short bursts of dynamic power, falls short of delivering the deep, rich, and consistent bass that home theater content demands.

To meet this challenge head-on, ASCENDO developed its AIA2-10K2 IS amplifier with a fully balanced design. The amplifier is engineered to provide stable, continuous output power across all frequencies, starting as low as 3 Hz. Unlike standard amplifiers that quickly lose power after a few milliseconds, this design ensures no voltage sag, even under the most demanding load conditions. The higher damping factor of the amplifier dramatically enhances bass extension, punch, and clarity, making every sound more impactful and immersive.
