AVID Launches Its First All-New Turntable in 12 Years

The Relveo features a newly developed conical, resiliently coupled suspension system.

AVID, the British founder-owned-and-run analog hi-fi manufacturer, has announced the launch of Relveo, its first all-new turntable in 12 years.

The new ground-up design Relveo is the brainchild of AVID’s founder/owner, Conrad Mas. Designed, engineered, and handmade in England, the new Relveo marks a significant evolution for the company, blending AVID’s engineering pedigree with a new suspension system, reimagined platter, and advanced external power supply.

AVID Relveo Turntable

The Relveo has been launched to commemorate AVID’s 30th anniversary and draws from three decades of analog design innovation. Every component, from its high-mass precision-machined platter to its separately housed DSP-controlled power supply, has been refined for accurate speed and enhanced musicality.

The turntable features a newly developed conical, resiliently coupled suspension system that provides isolation and stability while also simplifying setup for a range of end-users.

The Relveo ships complete with AVID’s Altus V2 tonearm (itself £1,650), a design that inherits technology from AVID’s reference tonearms.

The Altus V2 features micron-tolerance bearings and AVID’s recently introduced unique dual adjustable bias compensation system, engineered to extract every nuance from vinyl collections; the Relveo can also be purchased bare for existing tonearm owners.

The Relveo is available to order from AVID’s global retailer network now.

Price and availability

  • Relveo with Altus V2 tonearm (as supplied): $10,995; £6,900; €8,995
  • Relveo (bare): $8,995; £5,500; €7,495
