Weeks ahead of its 40th-anniversary celebrations in 2025, British AV cable specialist Chord Company has launched two new cables that echo the company’s 1985 origins of making great quality, affordable cables.

The new Leyline RCA and Leyline HDMI cables are two British-designed interconnects priced at less than £30 per 0.5m cable and are aimed at enthusiasts keen on taking their first steps in improving AV performance.
The Leyline RCA stereo interconnect caters to music lovers, while the Leyline HDMI cable is ideal for gamers and film/TV enthusiasts. They are priced at £28.75/$36.04 USD for a 0.5m length. Leyline — a familiar Chord Company model name — has been reimagined for a new generation of AV enthusiasts seeking affordable pricing for a premium Chord Company cable.
Finished in sleek stealth grey, the new Leyline cables combine premium features and flexibility. The Leyline RCA features gold-plated RCA plugs for enhanced signal transfer, with compression-free over-molded plug surrounds for reliability. It includes tough Polyethylene dielectric/insulation and high-density over-wrapped foil shield to minimize signal loss.

The Leyline HDMI cable is designed for all displays, with 48 Gbps bandwidth, 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz resolution, and Dynamic HDR. It features foam Polyethylene insulation, twin aluminum foil shielding, PVC outer jacket, and gold-plated connectors/pins.
Leyline RCA is available now: 0.5m (£28.75); 1m (£35); 2m (£47.50); and 3m (£45). Leyline HDMI is available now: 0.75m (£28.75); 1m (£30); 1.5m (£32.50); 2m (£35); and 3m (£60).
