KEF is reimagining portable audio with the new generation of the Muo Bluetooth speaker. The second iteration of the original delivers powerful bass, crisp details, and richness, turning playlists into immersive experiences. Bluetooth 5.4 aptX Adaptive keeps every note in perfect sync, while the 24-hour battery carries you from morning to night. The built-in microphone lets your voice be heard with clarity, and the IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design protects from the chaos of everyday life. Designed by Ross Lovegrove, Muo draws inspiration from the two-meter-tall sculptural Muon Hi-Fi speakers.
A large racetrack driver is strategically integrated into the Muo for efficient movement of the speaker cone to generate airflow for clear sound while minimizing distortion. Working in conjunction with P-Flex Surround Technology, adapted from KEF’s KC62 and KC92 subwoofers, the pleated structure resists internal air pressure, allowing for precise cone movement as dictated by the audio signal. This configuration delivers impressive output volume and deep, controlled bass, even at high volumes.
The dedicated tweeter brings a new level of high-frequency sophistication, delivering sharp high tones and a full-bodied mid-range, ensuring clarity with every detail.
To enhance the overall performance, the Music Integrity Engine (MIE), KEF’s proprietary suite of DSP algorithms, is specially tuned for the Muo by utilizing the limiter and Dynamic Bass Boost from the flagship LS60 Wireless Hi-Fi speakers.
For true portability, the Muo features Bluetooth 5.4 aptX Adaptive for high-fidelity, low-latency audio.
Durability
The Muo offers up to 24 hours of playback time. In just two hours, the speaker is fully charged. If time is of the essence, with a quick 15-minute charge, your favorite music can play for up to three hours. Truly portable, the carrying strap ensures the Muo follows your lifestyle.
Muo’s IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design protects against rain, sand, and spills. With an operating range from –20 degrees C to 45 degrees C, the Muo is ready to perform in any climate.
Connectivity and Control
This portable speaker connects with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair with a single tap. A wired connection to any laptop is available through Muo’s USB Type-C port.
Two Muo speakers can be paired to transform into a portable stereo HiFi system with dedicated left and right channels. Multiple Muo speakers can also be linked to further amplify the listening experience via Auracast, elevating music to its full potential.
From important business calls to family catch-ups, the built-in microphone ensures noise and echo cancellation, letting your voice be heard with clarity at all times.

Design
Industrial designer Ross Lovegrove adapted the striking Muon HiFi speaker into a portable form. Crafted from premium aluminium, this current generation of the Muo is available in Silver Dusk, Amber Haze, Orange Moon, Blue Aura, Moss Green, Cocoa Brown, and Midnight Black. Seven vibrant finishes with tone-on-tone carrying straps, making the speaker uniquely yours.
This portable speaker is built with recycled plastic that was transformed from everyday waste like used bottles, discarded home appliances, and even outdated smartphones and laptops.

The new Muo Bluetooth speaker will retail for $249.99. From September 23, the Muo will be available for myKEF members to purchase ahead of the all-access launch on September 30.
