NAD Electronics has launched the NAD C 589 CD player, a precision-engineered source component designed to extract the highest level of performance from compact discs. Part of NAD’s Classic Series, the C 589 delivers refined playback for music lovers who continue to value the experience of physical media.
At the heart of the C 589 is QRONO d2a, a digital audio technology developed by MQA Labs that improves digital timing and reconstruction accuracy. By refining the way digital signals are converted to analog, QRONO d2a enhances spatial detail, transient accuracy, and musical flow.
The NAD C 589 features a precision disc loader and transport mechanism engineered for smooth, quiet, and reliable operation. Its high-quality loader and laser pick-up ensure accurate disc tracking and stable playback across a wide range of CDs, including older or frequently played discs.
Internally, the C 589 includes a carefully implemented digital-to-analog conversion stage designed to preserve fine musical detail while maintaining low noise and distortion. The result is clear, transparent sound that allows recordings to retain their natural character.
To ensure compatibility with a wide variety of audio systems, the C 589 provides a comprehensive selection of analog and digital outputs. Balanced XLR and RCA analog outputs allow direct connection to integrated amplifiers or preamplifiers, while AES/EBU, coaxial, and optical digital outputs enable the player to function as a dedicated CD transport for external DACs.
A large front-panel display with CD Text support shows artist and track information when available, making it easy to follow albums from across the room. The included remote control allows listeners to navigate playback comfortably from their listening position.
The NAD C 589 CD Player will be available through authorized NAD retailers worldwide at a suggested retail price of $1399 USD and $1999 CAD.
