SoundTube Entertainment has announced the Rockustics Cherry Bomb Galaxy (CBG5), a high-performance outdoor bollard speaker engineered to deliver full-range landscape audio from a single, compact enclosure. The Cherry Bomb Galaxy is intentionally designed as a visible design element, combining architectural presence with high-performance sound.
Designed for outdoor environments where aesthetics, installation efficiency, and audio performance must work together, the Cherry Bomb Galaxy features a patented three-way system architecture that integrates a 5.25-inch double-chamber bandpass subwoofer, 4.5-inch midrange driver, and 0.75-inch titanium dome tweeter into a single outdoor-bollard.
Unlike traditional landscape audio systems that require separate subwoofer placement, the Cherry Bomb Galaxy incorporates the subwoofer directly within the same enclosure as the midrange and high-frequency drivers. This design keeps all frequencies originating from the same physical location, eliminating the phase alignment challenges and variations in bass energy that often occur when subwoofers are installed separately.
The Cherry Bomb Galaxy delivers extended low-frequency performance down to 38 Hz (–10 dB) while maintaining clear midrange and detailed highs across the listening environment. The design supports 70.7V, 100V, or 8-ohm operation, allowing it to integrate into a wide range of commercial and residential distributed audio systems.
Constructed from rotomolded LLDPE with a weatherized aluminum grille, the Cherry Bomb Galaxy is designed for long-term durability in outdoor installations. Its direct-burial bollard design minimizes excavation requirements, requiring only a small below-grade footprint to reduce installation time and labor.
The Cherry Bomb Galaxy is available in black and brown finishes.
