AudioControl, the U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance audio-video components, has begun shipping its new multi-channel theater amplifier, the Pantages G3.

AudioControl’s Pantage’s G3 amp

The Pantages G3 is a five-channel amplifier that incorporates a Class H design, which allows it to produce 230 watts into each channel, at an 8-ohm load, according to the company. Total audio output is over 1,200 watts RMS.

Designed as a matching companion to AudioControl’s new Maestro M3 theater pre-amp processor, the Pantages G3 incorporates Rose Gold lettering on a high-gloss black display and “cool blue” LED indicators on the front panel.

“AudioControl theater amplifiers have quite the reputation for being able to produce tremendous amounts of power while offering unparalleled energy efficiency,” AudioControl’s Chris Kane commented. “In addition to offering great audio quality and high levels of power, the Pantages G3 sports a completely new cosmetic design that it gives it a very exquisite look. Dealers who saw the Pantages G3, when it debuted at the recent CEDIA EXPO, were blown away.”

According to Kane, Class-H design topology increases the efficiency of the Pantages G3, increases reliability, and reduces heat and unnecessary power dissipation.

The Pantages G3 incorporates AudioControl’s LightDrive Anti-Clipping Protection Circuit, which the company says, safely eliminates any possibility of speaker damaging clipping and distortion, even in extreme conditions.

The Pantages G3 sports user features like balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, Remote Power Control triggers, and audiophile grade, five-way binding posts to guarantee the optimum connection of speaker level signals.
