At CEDIA Expo 2025, Josh.ai is launching AI X OS, the next achievement in AI-powered home automation, while expanding upon its hardware products with a larger 10-inch Josh Touchscreen and showcasing its forthcoming Josh Edge remote in action.
With AI X OS, Josh.ai has expanded AI across its control ecosystem to add cutting-edge intelligence to audio, lighting, and more automation capabilities. AI is now deeply embedded throughout the whole home, unifying smarter and more dynamic control experiences across Josh.ai’s touch, text, and voice interfaces.
AI X OS introduces new graphical interfaces purposefully designed for the Josh App on iOS and Android, Josh Touchscreen, and the Josh.ai + AVA Remote experience, which promote ease of use and multi-faceted control. AI X OS also encompasses numerous software updates that have been integrated across all of Josh.ai’s product ecosystem. Lighting Intelligence Controller
AI X OS introduces the Josh App’s completely redesigned Lighting Intelligence Controller with a suite of advanced features to elevate every moment with precise lighting. A new color selector allows for granular adjustments across a limitless palette of hues and tunable whites, giving users full creative control over the mood and ambiance in their living spaces. Customizable lighting effects elevate and transform the ambiance in every room with dynamic color patterns and engaging animations.
Hands-free lighting convenience is also taken a step further, courtesy of JoshGPT, enabling clients with the ability to describe a color or motif to set any vibe like, “Hey Josh, set the lights to the colors of the Northern Lights” or “Hey Josh, make the lights energizing.”
The Lighting Intelligence Controller includes circadian light matching to adjust light brightness and color temperature to align with natural human rhythms, promoting wellbeing and optimizing comfort. In addition to its range of light color, tuning, and effects capabilities, the Josh App is also adding contextual light grouping. Users are able to dynamically organize lights by room, area, or fixture-type for harmonious control while making complex lighting activations simple.
AI Scenes
The debut of AI Scenes takes proactive personalization to the next level by intelligently suggesting automations tailored to each user’s environment. Inspired by frequently utilized daily routines like Good Morning, Relax, and Entertain, AI Scenes generate popular automations with a home’s integrated devices or upon request to set the mood for any occasion. These curated recommendations are instantly available in the Josh App for further refinement if desired.
CustomDash
AI X OS features a reimagined Interactive Home Page in the Josh App. The customizable dashboard allows users to pin their preferred devices, areas, and scenes as widgets for effortless access. Enhancements include a personalizable background photo, modern design, and simplified navigation. Clients will stay informed with real-time alerts, the ability to monitor active devices, and engage with their scheduled automation hub.
Advanced AV Distribution 2.0
AI X OS expands Josh.ai’s ability to connect and synchronize media sources throughout the smart home with the launch of AV-over-IP support. Josh.ai is announcing integration with AVPro’s MXNet and Dante to elevate professional-grade installations with a unified layer of control.
Conveniently managed through the Josh App’s video controller, Josh.ai remotes, Josh Touchscreen, or with a simple voice command like, “Hey Josh, listen to the living room TV in the kitchen,” this functionality ensures a cohesive and flexible entertainment experience everywhere a client would like to leverage their multi-zone environment.
Camera Capture
Building off of the security and surveillance features launched in AI OS, AI X OS expands Josh.ai’s home-monitoring capabilities with its Camera Capture update. Users are able to enjoy peace of mind with their Josh.ai system acting as a sentry that intelligently detects, records, and notifies them of important activity from integrated surveillance systems.
By combining event detection with Josh Vision’s camera analysis, users can simply ask, “Analyze the front door camera?” to instantly view relevant footage in the Josh App and receive a detailed description of what took place.
Smart Sales & Support Tools
In order to provide partners with best-in-class sales and support, AI X OS includes tools for dealers to register their pipeline of upcoming projects in the web-based Josh Portal. This process ensures that integrators receive prompt design assistance and installation support when needed.
Nimble DevSuite 3.0

Josh Touchscreen
Following the rollout of the first 8-inch Josh Touchscreen, the biggest request from dealers was a larger option and Josh.ai has delivered. At CEDIA Expo, Josh.ai is debuting a 10-inch model. Available in Polished Black and Ceramic White, the edge-to-edge 8-inch and 10-inch glass displays feature capacitive touch and tap-to-talk voice control, as well as proximity and light sensors. Dealers can install both Josh Touchscreen sizes in a North American single or double-gang cutout, flush mount with solutions from Wall-Smart and SeeLess, or position them on a tabletop with a custom-designed stand. Josh Touchscreen is hardwired and powered over ethernet (PoE) for stability, with Wi-Fi compatibility for tabletop deployments.
Josh Edge
Josh Edge combines elegant design and intuitive functionality into a fully customizable hard-button companion. Powered by a three-month battery life, Josh Edge features intelligent button mapping, side volume control, and a central tap-to-talk voice button for contextual commands like “open the shades” or “watch ESPN.” JoshGPT also delivers instant answers and intelligent assistance for any request. Below the voice button is a multi-directional navigation pad and dedicated media buttons, which offer universal control of Apple TV, Roku, Kaleidescape, Dish, Xfinity, and more video sources.
Josh Edge’s upper six interchangeable, backlit buttons provide personalization and adaptability. Whether the remote is programmed to control a room’s devices, activate custom scenes like Movie Time, or acreate shortcut for favorite channels and streaming services, it can be configured to control any environment.
At CEDIA Expo, attendees will have the opportunity to see Josh Edge in action for the first time in product demonstrations as Josh.ai prepares to begin shipping later this year.
Resale Agreement with IC Realtime
In an effort to position dealers and clients for success with best-in-class products, Josh.ai has entered into an agreement with IC Realtime to resell the surveillance leader’s most popular cameras, NVRs, and accessories. The result of this partnership will be seamless product integration, unparalleled reliability, and exclusive co-developed functionality specific to the Josh.ai ecosystem. IC Realtime products will be available for integrators to purchase in the Josh.ai store starting on October 1st, 2025.
