RTI Reveals Plans for ISE 2022

RTI will showcase Integration Designer 11, RTI Music, and video-over-IP Platform.

RTI is gearing up for ISE 2022 where the company will showcase its latest solutions designed to elevate the performance for integrators and customize the experience for residential and commercial customers. In booth 2N250, RTI will debut its new Integration Designer 11 control application programming software with its new template and tools for fast custom integrations possible. The company will also demonstrate RTI Music and its video-over-IP platform.

At ISE 2022, attendees will get a hands-on look at how the new Integration Designer 11 programming software enables technology integrators to achieve faster, more efficient installations. It features the all-new “Coral” template, with pre-configured home pages, swappable backgrounds, customizable scroll bars across the touchscreens, and new fonts — all with auto-programming that adds efficiency to every project. One example of this added efficiency is the built-in driver store, enabling integrators to find all drivers without leaving the software and searching on a separate driver site, saving time on every project.

During the show, the RTI Music and the MS-3 Music Streamer will be on full display. RTI Music enables technology integrators to deliver a streaming experience to their clients with native control through any RTI control system. For home or business owners, RTI Music is an entirely seamless control experience, eliminating the need — for example — to exit the control app to search for music and access a playlist. With RTI Music, users can stream high-res audio into any room from their favorite platform or from their local NAS with a simple tap on a touchpanel, remote, or their favorite mobile device.

RTI Music and the MS-3 Music Streamer are designed with the integrator in mind. When connected, Integration Designer will automatically discover the music streamers, while the configuration utility makes it simple to set up homeowners’ music accounts. When used with RTI audio distribution, up to eight 1U-chassis MS-3 can deliver up to 24 concurrent audio streams throughout larger homes or businesses. The MS-3 supports three concurrent streams from streaming services including Pandora, Spotify, iHeart Radio, SiriusXM, SiriusXM for Business, SoundMachine, and TuneIn. The AirPlay interface enables streaming from Apple Music and Amazon Music. The Music Queue features play now, play later, and play soon options to build an on-the-fly song queue, while the Favorites playlists integrate songs from multiple services and local devices.

Driving video-over-IP flexibility, the RTI VIP system allows integrators to distribute 4K UHD video over a 1GB network switch, and can be installed in minutes, scaled to a virtually unlimited number of endpoints, and controlled natively within the RTI control environment. For the user, everything in the system is conveniently displayed on an RTI touchpanel, remote, or mobile device with video preview, making it easy to align any source with any display.

At the heart of the RTI video-over-IP platform is the VIP-UHD-CTRL Control Module, which combines Integration Designer integration with IR, RS-232, or TCP/IP control, and a wizard-based interface for automated system configuration. Advanced signal management provides independent routing of IR, RS-232, USB/KVM, audio, and video signals, while two RJ-45 LAN connections bridge the main and VIP networks to increase performance and eliminate the need for a VLAN. Multiple displays can be combined into video walls of any size using the video wall function.

With a 60 Hz refresh rate and support for 4K resolution, the platform’s VIP-UHD-TX transmitter and VIP-UHD-RX receiver provide high video quality, using virtually lossless compression technology to deliver signals up to 328 feet (100 meters). HDCP 2.2 compliance with advanced EDID management eliminates copy-protected black screens when connecting HDMI sources, while built-in scaling lets each screen in a network display its full resolution instead of being limited by the lower resolution of legacy displays. The transmitter and receiver feature analog audio embedding and breakout, and support all known HDMI audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio transmission. To minimize cable clutter, the VIP-UHD-CTRL, VIP-UHD-TX, and VIP-UHD-RX can be powered by power over Ethernet (PoE), while up to four transmitters or receivers can be mounted using the 2RU RM-4VIP2 rack-mount adaptor shelf, which includes all necessary mounting hardware.
