Atlas Cables’ Duo Technology Cables Now Available in North America

Offered by Vana Ltd, Duo technology features two separate, independently screened solid-core OCC high-purity copper conductors.

Specialty distributor Vana Ltd is now offering an updated collection of high-performance Atlas Cables, featuring the company’s newly developed Duo technology.

Atlas Cables Duo Technology Cables

Developed in-house by Atlas Cables engineers, Duo technology features two separate, independently screened solid-core OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) high-purity copper conductors for “hot” (+) and “cold” (-) connections. The new design enhances rejection of signal-degrading noise with demonstrably lower distortion and improved overall consistency in performance.

Leading the pack of new models are the Ailsa Duo RCA and XLR and Hyper Duo XLR cables. The Ailsa analog interconnects, available as Ultra L (Latik) RCA and OCC XLR interconnects, exemplify the benefits of the Duo design while adding the benefit of precision-twisted conductors to improve performance and maintain timing and detail.

Adding to the Ailsa Duo’s performance characteristics is the company’s proprietary Grun Coherent Earthing System. The system, which includes supplied 1:1 or 1:2 adapters and a spade tag adapter for simple connections, results in enhanced detail and a natural sense of space.

Also incorporating Atlas’s new Duo design is the Hyper Duo XLR, a wide-band interconnect that is notable for high transparency and low noise that is a match for any high-end system using XLR connectors.

A highlight of the Hyper Duo XLR is Atlas Cables’ cold-weld solder-free “dark Chrome” XLR plugs, combining wide bandwidth with excellent resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) that sometimes raises noise levels, an anomaly typically associated with poorly-shielded cables.
