SnapAV has announced the release of Pakedge MS Series Layer 3 Managed Switches with OvrC, the latest addition to its lineup of networking products. The MS Series is built for professionals and includes five new models engineered to deliver performance and reliability for today’s high-bandwidth applications.
MS Switches offer commercial-grade performance for large residential, pro-AV, and commercial projects. The MS Series supports both plug-and-play setup for standard installs as well as advanced Layer 3 functionality and pro-AV features, including Dante and Q-LAN support.
Using feedback from pros, SnapAV designed the MS Series with features that promise to simplify installation and provide versatility. Rear-facing ports, 10 Gbps SFP+ fiber uplinks, and improved PoE+ budgeting to support more PoE-powered devices are all included.
With a range of 1 Gbps Ethernet and optional 10 Gbps SFP+ fiber uplinks, MS switches are ideal for multiple switch environments where high-speed connections between switches are crucial for optimal performance.
MS Series Switches are the first Pakedge products with built-in OvrC remote management. Without any additional hardware, pros can immediately use OvrC to install and remotely monitor their customers’ networks from anywhere in the world. From the OvrC mobile or desktop app, it’s easy to manage PoE power and consumption per port, reboot ports, update firmware, and more.
The MS Series offers five 12-, 24-, and 44-port models in a variety of PoE+ configurations. The MS-1212 and MS-2424 are available now, and the MS-2400, MS-2416, and MS-4424 are available now for preorder and will ship July 2020.
