WattBox 820 Series Power Distribution Units

WattBox 820 Series Power Distribution Units

The WattBox 820 Series IP-controllable power distribution units are designed for high-performance 20-amp systems, delivering advanced power management, monitoring, and reliability for professionally installed security and smart technology environments. Building on the capabilities of the WattBox 800 Series, the 820 Series offers OvrC remote monitoring and management, self-healing auto reboot, and individual outlet control, scheduling, and power metering.

Through OvrC integration, integrators gain real-time visibility into connected devices, enabling rapid remote diagnostics, proactive issue resolution, and reduced on-site service calls. Customizable voltage, power, and current thresholds provide added assurance by alerting professionals when systems fall outside defined parameters.

The 820 Series also features built-in power conditioning and surge protection to ensure clean, safe power delivery to both rack and non-rack equipment.

Outdoor Enclosure for the RoseWater Energy HUB 40

Outdoor Enclosure for the RoseWater Energy HUB 40

RoseWater Energy has introduced a rugged outdoor enclosure option for its RoseWater Energy HUB 40. Inspired by the durable telecom cabinets used by providers like Verizon and AT&T to protect sensitive electronics in remote environments, the new enclosure expands installation possibilities for systems integrators and solves one of the most common challenges in residential power management: lack of indoor space.

RoseWater Energy’s outdoor housing allows integrators to deploy full-featured Energy HUBs in environments where interior space is limited or restricted. Each enclosure is powder-coated, weather-resistant, and engineered for long-term durability in harsh conditions, making them a viable option for all climates. The enclosure supports the complete three-shelf battery configuration of the RoseWater Energy HUB 40 and accommodates a total system height of 60 inches. It includes an integrated climate-control system — either air conditioning or heating/cooling — to maintain stable internal temperatures year-round, protecting the electronics and batteries from extreme weather conditions.

Apex Power Hub

Apex Power Hub

Clean, consistent power is essential to high-performance AV systems. The Apex Power Hub from Apex Technologies gives home technology professionals a centralized, intelligent platform for monitoring, controlling, and automating power across residential and commercial environments. Paired with Apex’s voltage-regulating UPSs and IP-addressable PDUs from GUDE or other leading brands, the Power Hub helps prevent downtime, protect valuable equipment, and ensures optimal performance. Its compact design and intuitive, web-based interface simplify installation and management, while remote monitoring, real-time alerts, historical power data, and automated power sequencing enable proactive maintenance and long-term system reliability.

Savant Smart Budget

Savant Smart Budget

Savant Smart Budget is an affordable alternative solution that consists of Savant Power Modules that can be added into an existing electrical panel, as well as software that regulates the power output of the electrical panel, so the demand never exceeds a home’s capacity. Homeowners interact with Smart Budget through Savant’s app and, whether on-demand or on a schedule, they can prioritize how and when power is used in the home by monitoring live consumption, shedding unnecessary loads, and balancing usage within a limited electrical service. Savant Smart Budget starts at $1500 and is available through Savant’s network of smart home and energy professionals.

World4Solar at QAV

World4Solar at QAV

Colorado custom home integration company QAV installed the HelioWing by World4Solar at its facility. The whole-house energy system adds a forward-thinking solution to QAV’s luxury product portfolio. The system is designed for homeowners seeking true energy independence. Attendees at the unveiling — including QAV clients, local businesses such as Ferrari of Denver, homeowners, and press — experienced the full potential of the HelioWing 7 in action. The 9.84kWp system powered a Ferrari, a TV, a DJ booth, and a wine fridge simultaneously — and is capable of powering an entire home. World4Solar executives showcased its advanced features, including a hybrid inverter for smart power distribution, RGBW LED lighting, and a 36kWh battery for nighttime or backup during grid outages.

A key advantage of the HelioWing for homeowners is that it requires no roof modifications, as it is a freestanding structure with a robust steel frame that supports solar panels and protects internal electrical components. Its dual function as a canopy or backyard pergola adds both style and utility to any home. Installation can be completed in a single day on a prepared foundation — a market-unique feature that reduces labor costs and boosts overall value.

Pila Energy Home Battery

Pila Energy Home Battery

Pila Energy, maker of plug-in, mesh home batteries for accessible backup power and lower-friction energy control, has raised $4 million in seed funding led by R7 Partners, with participation from Toyota Ventures. Refactor Capital, GS Futures, and other strategic backers. The round accelerates Pila’s U.S. launch, and scales manufacturing, priority partnerships, and continued development of Pila’s grid-aware software. With this funding, Pila’s batteries are now available to order.

The Pila Battery provides smart, simple, automatic backup power that puts people in control of their power and reinforces the grid. Set up Pila’s smart batteries in minutes via a standard wall outlet. Each 1.6 kWh unit keeps essentials — fridges, Wi-Fi, window A/Cs, sump pumps, medical devices — running when the grid goes down.

Pila is the first of its kind mesh battery. Like mesh Wi-Fi, multiple batteries work together through Pila’s Battery Mesh Network, quietly in the background, to store solar or utility power and optimize energy for outage protection and bill savings. The Pila app shows available backup and lets you set priorities. Pila is built to integrate with demand response and virtual power programs so customers can earn credits for supporting the grid.

Leviton Weather-Resistant EV Outlet

Leviton Weather-Resistant EV Outlet

Leviton’s weather-resistant EV outlet with outdoor cover (Part No. EVCVM) is engineered to prioritize safety, code compliance, and long-term reliability. This offering provides customers with an all-in-one solution for EV-ready homes and is purpose-built to meet the demands of residential outdoor installations. The steel surface mount cover is NEMA 3R rated, providing protection against rain, snow, and temperature fluctuations. Its lockable design prevents unauthorized access, which is a critical feature for exposed installations. Designed for flexible installation, the cover supports both wall and pedestal mounting, making it useful in a wide range of residential layouts and retrofit scenarios.

The 50 Amp outlet is also designed to ensure dependable and safe performance under demanding conditions. Featuring a high-impact nylon body, heavy-gauge copper contacts, and pressure-wire terminals, the outlet accommodates #4, #6, or #8 AWG copper conductors, as well as #10 AWG permitted for the ground, to give installers the versatility they need to meet current and future EV charging requirements and standards.

The new EV outlet with outdoor cover pairs seamlessly with any plug-in EV charger, including Leviton’s EV Series plug-in chargers (EV40P), which is compatible with smart home systems via the My Leviton app.
