Salt Lake City, UT — Control4 has released a new speaker line that includes 6.5-inch and 8-inch in-ceiling and in-wall speakers and the 6.5-inch and 8-inch in-ceiling stereo speakers.

Control4 CEO Will West said that his companys new speakers make “spectacular sound possible in any room and deliver superior surround sound effects where aesthetic considerations preclude wall mounting conventional surround speakers. “We’re pleased to be able to facilitate affordable audio solution selection, integration and implementation with this new product line, giving our dealers a wide range of choices that fit the needs of the broadest range of customers, West explained.
By significantly reducing complexity and cost, Control4’s speaker line becomes an attractive one-stop option for both new construction and retrofit solutions. Likewise, for retrofitting environments where speaker wiring is not practical, the Control4 speaker solutions combine seamlessly with the Control4 Wi-Fi Speaker Point. The full multi-room audio solution can be configured for virtually any home or office with the Control4 Multi-Channel Amplifier, the Control4 Multi Tuner and the newly released Control4 HC-500 with a 160 GB hard drive.

Speakers feature dual polymer cones, silk dome tweeters, rubber surrounds, high-temperature voice coils, advanced computer optimized crossovers and simple rotating clamp mounting
When used as surround speakers, the tweeter can be pivoted away towards the rear or sidewalls to deliver a diffuse upper midrange and high frequency creating a convincing, three-dimensional surround sound
