The pair supports HDMI 1.3a with Deep Color and 7.1 channel lossless audio; manages EDID and HDCP, handles resolutions up to 1920×1200 and 1080p60, and are compatible with both DVI and DisplayPort Multimode.

“Today’s AV presentation and home entertainment systems include HDMI sources that need to run longer distances than HDMI was designed for. Crestron has developed several solutions, including this transmitter/receiver pair, to extend uncompressed signals as far as 1,000 feet without signal degradation or repeaters,” Crestron director of marketing Vincent Bruno said

According to Crestron, the HDMI-over-fiber transmitter/receiver pair requires no special configuration or programming.

The HD-TX3-F and HD-TX3-F are both housed in enclosures with provisions for mounting to any flat surface or on one rail of an equipment rack.
