James Loudspeaker has unveiled the Q-Series line of floor-standing loudspeakers.
The Q-Series speakers’ claim to fame is that they can be custom sized and finished to match decor. All three Q-Series models employ a rigid, reinforced MDF enclosure, a grille made from coated aluminum bar stock, and a 1-inch Beryllium quad tweeter array. Each model is capable of significant amplifier power, delivering undistorted audio even at high output levels. Aesthetically inspired by the shape of Quartz crystals found in nature, these Q-Series speakers are intended to stand as the foundation for a two channel music system or a multi-channel theater.
The Q60 has been engineered to use two amplifiers, one for the full-range portion of the speaker and another for the internal 12-inch down-firing aluminum cone subwoofer. Above the 12-inch subwoofer, which features a 3-inch voice coil, the Q60 utilizes a three way system comprised of two 8-inch woofers, two 6.5-inch midranges and the Beryllium quad tweeter array. The Q60 is priced at MSRP $15,000 USD each.
The Q48 implements the same bi-amped system and 12-inch subwoofer as the Q60, utilizing a pair of 8-inch woofers, two 5.25-inch midrange drivers, and the Beryllium quad tweeter array. Like the Q60, the Q48 is fully customizable in terms of finish and even physical dimensions if necessary. The Q48 is priced at MSRP $10,000 USD each.
Like the Q60 and Q48, the Q30 features the same Beryllium quad tweeter array. The 8-inch midrange and 8-inch long-excursion woofer all feature aluminum cones with Santoprene rubber surrounds for clarity, detail, and longevity. The Q30 is priced at MSRP $6,000 USD each.
All Q-Series speakers are built by craftsmen in James Loudspeaker’s Napa, CA factory. The Q-Series speakers are available now through authorized professional integrators.
