CP-IW460X and CP-IW260XMonitor Audio has released its new ‘Controlled Performance’ CP-IW260X and CP-IW460X in-wall speaker designs. The CP-IW260X and CP-IW460X in-wall speakers combine Monitor Audio’s latest drivers in compact three-way, five-driver configurations, built into closed-box designs.
The CP-IW460X employs a version of the high frequency C-CAM ribbon transducer deployed by the Monitor Audio ‘Gold’ and ‘Platinum’ ranges. Being light and with no break-up modes, the ribbon delivers detail beyond 50KHz. The CP-IW260X uses the latest generation 1″ Gold Dome tweeter from the Monitor Audio ‘Silver’ range, which employs a vented housing, intended to allow the driver to operate freely for lower resonance, optimum damping, and greater accuracy over a wider response.
