MISSISSIGUA, Ontario–Reel Acoustics, a leading Canadian home theater speaker company, has introduced an addition to its expanding speaker line. The RSX Through Mount is a unique speaker with its own built-in mounting system.
“Were very excited about this product,” says Ken Simpson, president of Reel Acoustics. “We felt that many of the existing mounting brackets could be improved on and decided to color outside the lines and come up with something totally different to solve the problem of swivel mounting.”
The RSX Through Mount is designed around the unique access portal that allows a screwdriver to go right through the center of the speaker from front to back. The first speaker in the popular RS Series by Reel to incorporate the new mounting system is the RSX Through Mount. This easy-to-use RSX Speaker is mounted and fully adjustable from the front, eliminating the need for cumbersome, separate mounting brackets–it is included with the RSX at no extra charge. Its the same great sound but easier to install.
RSX Through Mount Speakers took 18 months to design and engineer. They feature the RS Series curved, all MDF cabinet, Reels proprietary 3-inch woofer, 1/2-inch polymer laminated soft dome tweeter, custom tooled tweeter diffuser plate and removable custom tooled grille. When mounted, the speaker sits under 2-inches from the wall and has 30-degree movement in all directions. The hidden mounting hole is an anti-theft feature; its easy to install but hard to steal.
