In its preview of its CEDIA show plans, Russound said that it would unveil its first dedicated 70v system designed for commercial applications.

During the September 14-17 convention in Dallas, TX, Russound confirmed that a streaming audio player, speakers, and volume control would be part of its commercial offerings. Specific product specifications and model numbers will be determined by mid-summer.

“Typical Russound dealers gets about a third of their revenue from light commercial jobs,” said Charlie Porritt, CEO, Russound. “In the past, our only 70v products were volume controls, but now we’re focusing time and resources on a complete audio system that gives our customers a great-sounding, highly efficient solution for light commercial installations.”

Similar to many of the company’s previous models, the new 70v system was designed with input from dealers and installers who recognized the need for audio products specifically designed for the commercial channel.

“We’re putting the finishing touches on what will be one of our most impactful and most relevant CEDIA introductions to date,” Porritt said. “Our customers will see that when it comes to distributed audio, Russound is the best option in both the residential and light commercial channels.”

In addition to the new product line, as Russound prepares for its upcoming 50th anniversary, it has debuteda re-designed website, created to bring new features and usability to the brand’s web presence. The responsive design website reflects the company’s renewed focus on giving both dealers and end-users easy access to help make buying decisions, give access to updates, sample images, and all available documentation on current and legacy products.
