Capitol will feature two new Russound products in its CEDIA Expo 2018 booth 4715. Originally previewed at the 2017 CEDIA Expo, the MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE are single-box solutions that are easy to install and configure as a streaming audio system for residential installations, while access to SiriusXM for Business makes it a reliable solution in light commercial projects. Russound designed the MBX-AMP to be a decentralized, amplified streaming solution for installers who want to offer the most up-to-date streaming media options to their clients. The MBX-PRE is similar to the MBX-AMP, minus the amplifier section.
The MBX-AMP is a 50 WPC zone amplifier is a unique solution designed to allow sharing of any multiroom audio speakers with a local TV. Its WiFi and wired Ethernet connections allow for quick, reliable installation, and the addition of Tidal and Deezer to Russound’s current streaming assortment makes a compelling combination of services.
The companion MBX-PRE is a preamplifier version of MBX-AMP, designed to work with any brand of amplifier or receiver. Both models feature built-in support for high resolution audio, Bluetooth, Chromecast on board, Apple AirPlay, and voice control via Amazon Alexa, and includes TIDAL, Deezer, and more.
Both the MBX-PRE and MBX-AMP will ship in late Q4.
