Sonus faber Introduces Palladio Custom Installation Speakers

Characterized by high-end design.

The Sonus faber Palladio custom installation speaker collection was recently announced during the ISE show. The collection features 13 models, including In-wall and In-ceiling speakers, available in different combinations according to any architectural environment.

The collection has two lines, Level 5 and Level 6, and is aimed at paying homage to the company’s Italian roots and Vicenza’s artistic heritage, which is why the new collection bears the name of the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, considered to be one of the most influential figures in the Western architecture history.

The Level 5 front panels feature satin aluminum trims that frame both tweeter and mid-woofer. The string pattern explicitly references the Sonus faber Sonetto bookshelves stand design, where the motif ideally referred to the use of the elastic strings of the first Guarneri stands (1993).

The Level 6 of Palladio collection makes use of structural standards typical of Sonus faber’s higher ranges. The front baffle is covered in leather and the walnut wood front panel with hand-made inlays in maple. All Palladio series models are equipped with a magnetic, edgeless metal grille. Two models of the Level 6 (PL-664 and PW-662) also feature the classic elastic string grille.

Each line has two angled models that increase the versatility of the collection. Additionally, both lines boast the option to add a passive subwoofer.

The collection feature 29mm silk dome tweeters that are characterized by DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology and mid-ranges and mid-woofers that are equipped with custom diaphragms made in natural fiber and cellulose pulp. The crossover network or the entire line features the Paracross Topology circuitry.
