Stealth Acoustics will showcase its 8-inch three-way architectural speaker, the LRx83 at CEDIA 2017 (Booth 1720).

Stealth Acoustics will showcase its 8-inch three-way architectural speaker, the LRx83 at CEDIA 2017 (Booth 1720).

Producing a bass response down to 40Hz, with a smooth midrange and solid upper frequency, the LRx83 is the highest quality “invisible” speaker yet produced by Stealth Acoustics. It incorporates a 30mm midrange device, a 25mm tweeter and an 8-inch high-power cone woofer. In addition to its audio performance, the LRx38 is also straightforward to install, featuring the same dimensions as Stealth’s LR8g and so fits neatly into any LR8 back box accessory.

“There’s a good reason we are naming this new speaker the LRx83,” said Steve Olszewski, vice president at Stealth Acoustics. “The ‘X’ stands for ‘Expert Grade’ and the LRx83 delivers the exceptional performance that integrators want in their important residential, corporate, or public space projects. This 8-inch three-way speaker sets a new level of price and performance in the invisible speaker arena and is our best sounding speaker to date.”

The speakers peak power handling tops out at over 300 watt, which allows the device to become more than simply a background music speaker. Constant voltage options are also available.

This LRx83 addition to the range spearheads a new series of LRx derived products from Stealth Acoustics. With additional models forthcoming on the LRx roadmap, the new line is now enhanced with the updated LRG-B30g dual 8-inch invisible subwoofer which boasts improved materials, stability and performance. This increases sub-bass extension down to 35Hz when coupled with the LRx83 (or other Stealth speakers).
