TruAudio has created a 4-inch in-ceiling speaker as a part of their rimless Ghost line which matches the exact diameter of standard can lights.
An interior decorator approached TruAudio about developing a Ghost that would match the other design elements (lighting) in the ceiling.
Ghost in-ceiling speakers come with a magnetic grill that has a mere 2 millimeter reveal – so the aesthetic impact in the ceiling is minimal. By matching recessed can lighting, a Ghost could be further hidden from a homeowner’s view.
“The Ghost 4 inch works most naturally in a kitchen, dining room, or library where you typically find a lot of can lights. When installed with a mind to aesthetics, it really can disappear in the ceiling,” said Bryan Garner, president at TruAudio.
The Ghost 4″ comes in a white glass fiber woofer/titanimum tweeter as well as a polypropylene woofer/silk soft dome swivel tweeter.
Like all Ghosts, the 4-inch was designed so it is consistent across the entire frequency spectrum, with no manipulations of the treble or bass.
At the same time, like all other Ghost speakers, the 4-inch also comes with Speaker Equalization Adjustments for both treble and bass. This gives the listener the flexibility to precision tune the sound to suit their preferences as well as adjust according to the specific acoustic configuration of their room.
The Ghost 4 inch in-ceiling speaker comes in a GP-4 and GG-4 models and is available through authorized TruAudio dealers.
