URC has added new Total Control compatibility for Bose SoundTouch Wireless Music Systems, providing customers another way to access Bose audio throughout their home.
With Total Control and Bose SoundTouch systems, homeowners can now choose new music from any of URC's Total Control interfaces including remotes, keypads, touchscreens, and mobile apps.
"Our dealers seek the finest entertainment control experiences and latest options for multi-room music from brands their clients trust,” said URC director of marketing, Cat Toomey. “The Bose SoundTouch family of products is among the most comprehensive in the industry.”
Bose SoundTouch systems feature both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The URC driver enables discrete preset selection to allow the homeowner to select music from the URC interface, as well as control volume level, repeat, and shuffle status. Comprehensive metadata feedback to the URC interface makes for a more compelling user experience, according to the company, while offering instant synchronization with other applications
URC dealers can now offer whole-house music from Bose in addition to other music brands, including HEOS, Sonos, Fusion, Autonomic, CasaTunes, our URC’s SNP-2 and Deezer (for international markets) with Total Control integration capabilities.
"We see this as an important breakthrough for our industry and greater choice for consumers seeking sophisticated smart home solutions,” Toomey said. “URC is pleased to expand our lineup of two-way, music modules with the addition of Bose.”
The new driver is available free to all URC authorized dealers by software consulting company Janus Technology at www.janustechnology.co.uk.
The software module from Janus provides complete integration of multi-room grouping functionality with Bose SoundTouch systems, allowing players to be easily grouped together and controlled simultaneously. An automatic discovery mechanism makes installation a breeze, and an interface designed to mimic the intuitive Bose SoundTouch app provides a familiar experience for homeowners.
