Created for the custom installation channel, the next-generation touchscreens are designed to offer primary whole-house control in a sleek family design that appeals to discerning homeowners, designers, and architects alike. The TDC-7100 Tabletop Controller and TKP-7600 In-Wall Touchscreen feature a seven-inch color touchscreen for control of home entertainment and smart home products. With a built-in camera, microphone, and speaker, they feature a new audio/video intercom that is well suited for door station integration. It also enables room-to-room and whole-house family communication. The TDC-7100 Tabletop Controller features an integrated induction-charging base, for placement in the kitchen, bedroom, family room, or conference room. In addition to control for entertainment, lights, thermostats, security, and more, the TDC-7100 and TKP-7600 deliver improved speed, enhanced graphics, and sensor-based wake-up function. Both offer visual status feedback from URC devices and the industry’s most popular third-party products. With network cameras, the touchscreens can display live video for surveillance and provide entertainment control with guide-based Favorite Channels. “We are excited to debut our new user interfaces that are designed to elevate the home control experience and provide intuitive door station integration,” said Doug Cole, URC SVP and general manager. “We are bringing these premium controllers to the custom channel for a price that makes elegant touch control a reality for more people. With both tabletop and in-wall options, we’ve empowered URC dealers to give their customers choice in smart home control and convenience.” TDC-7100 Tabletop Controller is priced at $600 MSRP and the TKP-7600 In-Wall Touchscreen is priced at $800 MSRP. Both are slated for availability this month.
