Yale Locks & Hardware recently revealed its nexTouch Keypad Access Lock.

The ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certified nexTouch is a simple access control solution that provides stand-alone security to a variety of commercial facilities. In addition to its flexibility as a stand-alone lock, nexTouch offers a modular solution that can be upgraded with plug-in technology keys to meet a wide range of applications.

Due to its modular design, users can readily upgrade nexTouch to a more advanced and scalable solution as their security requirements grow and change. Optional technologies include the Accentra Multi-Family Solution that uses data-on-card technology, or ZigBee and Z-Wave capability for small businesses that want to integrate nexTouch into an alarm or automation platform.

nexTouch is available with either a capacitive touchscreen or pushbutton keypad, offering a more tactile experience as well as ADA compliance. Other features of stand-alone nexTouch include privacy mode, enabling the exterior keypad to be temporarily disabled by the user from the inside; 9V battery power backup, which allows the lock to be recharged with just the touch of a battery; and support of up to 500 user codes, easily managed with effortless voice-guided programming.

“nexTouch provides property owners and managers with a cost-efficient way to add access control to their buildings. nexTouch provides these environments with a versatile solution that is able to provide different levels of security based on a site’s specific needs,” stated Tom Harris, general manager, Yale Commercial.
