Savant Systems has introduced a new family of Apple-based control and audio/video distribution products called SmartSystems, replacing its existing Rosie and Protege control offerings.
Savant has replaced its Rosie and Protege control offerings with the new SmartSystems platform.
Each Savant SmartSystem solution includes an iTunes-based digital media server when paired with an external host.
Savant’s SmartSystem family includes:
SmartControl: The new SmartControl SSC-0007 and SSC-0025 are control-only devices that have been engineered to include a blend of the most popular control formats. Both solutions are designed to connect with audio/video, lighting, climate, security, and more. Both models fit neatly within a compact 1U half rack-style enclosure.
SmartAudio: Savant’s SmartAudio SSA-3000 is a whole-house control solution packaged in a 2U enclosure. SmartAudio delivers stereo preamp processing including independent control of volume, balance, bass, treble and mute. SmartAudio enables music distribution in up to eight zones, with the flexibility to play the same content throughout the home, or unique content in each room simultaneously and independently. SmartAudio can be navigated and controlled by an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad utilizing Savant’s TrueControl application, available through the Apple App Store. SmartAudio can also be paired with Savant’s 16-Channel Multi-Room Power Amplifier (AMP-1640) for a complete distributed audio solution.
SmartVideo: Savant’s SmartVideo SSV-1000 provides a single zone of TrueCommand (Savant’s on-TV menu system), video processing and scaling, and video switching. SmartVideo also includes an integrated video processor capable of enhancing image detail using de-interlacing technology as well as expanded 12-bit color processing.
SmartMedia: Savant’s SmartMedia SSM-3100 is an entertainment system that delivers distributed audio, video switching; a single zone of TrueCommand and integrated control capability, packaged in a 2U fanless chassis. SmartMedia also includes an integrated video processor.
SmartMediaPro: Savant’s SmartMediaPro has been designed for large, complex residential or commercial installations. The SmartMediaPro family includes three single-solution high-bandwidth matrix switchers (SSP-1200, SSP-2400, SSP3600) delivering high capacity multizone audio and video processing, integrated control and automation, as well as a modular and scalable design. SmartMediaPro is field-upgradeable, meeting the demands of any multifaceted installation. Additionally, SmartMediaPro can be paired with a Savant Redundant Host.
