#CEDIAShares: RTI

RTI shares why spending quality time with their dealers and distributors at CEDIA matters to them.

In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA 2018.

Q&A with Brett Stokke, Director of Marketing, RTI

Q: Why CEDIA?

Brett Stokke: CEDIA gives us a chance to show off our latest and greatest products, programs, and services, but it also allows us to spend quality time with our dealers and distributors. The show presents a fantastic opportunity to assess the goals we set in 2018 and to listen to our partners’ specific needs. Over the last year, we’ve been focused on the dealer experience and key updates to our software and product offerings so we’ll have a lot to talk about.

Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?

BS: There will be exciting developments with the Internet of Things (IoT), especially when it comes to cloud-based tools that allow dealers to get training, perform installations more efficiently, and monitor their customers’ systems. To that end, we’ve developed the RTiQ intelligent remote monitoring solution, which not only checks the status of all devices in a system but sends notifications to integrators in real time. This allows them to quickly correct issues, often before the client even knows there’s a problem. We’ll be highlighting RTiQ at our booth at CEDIA, in addition to other cloud-based technologies like our new RTiXcel online learning management system (LMS).

Q: What will you focus on at the show?

BS: In addition to RTiQ and RTiXcel, we’ll be highlighting our line of AV distribution products. Solutions on display will include HDMI, HDBaseT, and modular video matrix switches for reliable, high-quality 4K video throughout an installation; and the Miravue VIP-1 video-over-IP transceiver. We’ll also be showing off the latest version of our Integration Designer APEX programming software, which allows integrators to take advantage of the RTiQ and VIP-1, and includes a wide range of time-saving features, such as support for layers source bundles that allow integrators to export fully developed interfaces for reuse in any project, and more. We’ll also be debuting some exciting new additions to our line of control solutions. All of this will be topped off with the free training sessions “Explore the RTI Product and Software Ecosystem” and “Flexibility & Simplicity — Unlock the Power of Integration Designer Apex.” So, there’s going to be a lot going on and we can’t wait to see everyone there.
