ZeeVee’s ZvBox 170
AVAD dealers will now have access to ZeeVee’s product line, which utilizes HD encoding and RF modulation to distribute HD video over coax cabling to unlimited displays, according to the company. Among the products initially offered through AVAD is the new ZvBox 170, a lower cost system for distributing HD video and digital signage signals.
“ZeeVee products will enable integrators to simultaneously deliver HD video to unlimited displays in residential or commercial settings using coax cables,” AVAD vice president and general manager Jim Annes said. “In most cases, this eliminates the need to re-wire a project and opens the door for future retro-fit opportunities.”
ZeeVee recently launched the ZvBox 170, which is a rack-mounted, fan-cooled HD encoder/RF modulator that distributes VGA and component video sources as an HDTV cable channel over coax to standard HDTVs. The product can distribute digital signage throughout a bar, restaurant or exhibit, or provide access to HD DVRs and Blu-ray players throughout a home, according to the company. A connected ZvBox 170 can distribute HD video to an unlimited number of displays.
“We look forward to bringing ZeeVee’s HD distribution products and technologies to AVAD dealers,” ZeeVee co-founder and CEO Vic Odryna said. “AVAD has proven to be one of the leaders in identifying the needs of the custom integrator and providing outstanding customer support. We are confident that this partnership will be beneficial for all parties, especially AVAD’s dealer-base.”
