BTX Technologies, the distributor and manufacturer of interface and integration products, has been selected as a distributor for Quantum Data Inc., a provider of video test equipment.
Under the agreement, BTX will promote and sell Quantum Data’s 780 Handheld Test Instrument and HT-180 Handshake Tester for HDMI to AV systems integrators across the U.S.
The 780 Handheld Test Instrument is a portable multimedia AV signal generator and analyzer that can test the HDMI digital ports on HDMI 1.3 devices, such as HDTVs, projectors, and AV receivers.
The HT-180 Handshake Tester, according to the company, allows installers to identify the root cause of HDMI interoperability problems in a system comprised of two or three devices.
“BTX Technologies has a long history of bringing innovation and quality to the AV experience,” Quantum Data general sales manager Chuck Evans said. “We are excited about our partnership, which allows us to rely on BTX’s wealth of industry knowledge to bring our testing solutions to a much larger breadth of systems integrators.”
Effective immediately, BTX will carry Quantum Data’s 780 and HT-180 testing instruments, and will offer live demos and dealer training sessions around the country.
