Capitol is now offering Sunfire’s mid-range HRS Series features bookshelf speakers and subwoofers and the company also offers an economical Dynamic Series of subwoofers.
“Sunfire is a welcome addition to Capitol’s extensive selection of Core Brands’ audio and home control models,” said Curt Hayes, Capitol’s president and CFO. “The company manufacturers a premium product with components that are easily combined, with as much attention being paid to style and aesthetics as the quality of the sound.”
Sunfire earned its reputation for both style and substance by pioneering the compact subwoofer category, developing the first small-box, high-power subwoofers in the early 1990s. Since then, the company has followed this ethos of delivering big sound through small packages, producing high-end speakers, subwoofers, and other audio equipment for a home audio market that demands top performance with stylish minimalism.
Headquartered in Petaluma, Calif., Core Brands is a division of the Nortek Technology Solutions Segment. It combines the product and marketing strengths of ten iconic audio, power management and control brands into a single business unit: ATON, BlueBOLT, ELAN, Furman, Niles, Panamax, Proficient, SpeakerCraft, Sunfire, and Xantech.
