CasaTunes’ new line of multi-room music servers now integrates with Roomie, a universal remote app designed to control a home’s entire range of AV and electronic devices. The combination delivers a multi-room music solution with the best control solution for Apple homes.
“CasaTunes offers a seamlessly integrated Apple AirPlay enabled multi-room music solution, with built-in storage for your iTunes music, and a great user experience using our native iPad and iPhone Apps,” said David Krinker, president of CasaTunes. “Roomie enhances the CasaTunes solution by allowing integration of thousands of AV and other devices that are not natively supported by CasaTunes. This partnership combines the best in multi-room music with the best in device control and automation for the Apple home.”
Roomie uses Wi-Fi to control thousands of devices like TVs, cable and satellite boxes, receivers, Blu-ray players, lights, and thermostats. The app offers automatic discovery, virtual remote, configuration, compatibility, and control of IP-based home theater devices with over 200,000 commands. Roomie also features iTunes, AirPlay, TiVo, Roku, and DirectTV integration and synchronization across multiple devices, customization, and proximity automation features including an integrated TV program guide to see what’s playing.
“Roomie Remote’s mission is to integrate home theater and home automation with the power of today’s platforms via next generation functionality and user interface,” said Will Price, CEO and founder of Roomie Remote. “Interoperating with many hardware vendors, like CasaTunes and their line of multi-room music streamers, is crucial to advancing the industry to the next level.”
