CasaTunes Upgrades iOS, Android App with Live Demo Feature

When running in demo mode, the CasaTunes app connects to one of the company’s music servers, selected from a pool of music servers residing in its Colorado facility, and provides users with a true "live" CasaTunes experience.

The latest versions of CasaTunes’ Android and iOS apps now include a new demonstration mode option. When running in demo mode, the CasaTunes app connects to one of the company’s music servers, selected from a pool of music servers residing in its Colorado facility, and provides users with a true “live” CasaTunes experience.

When running in demo mode, the CasaTunes app connects to one of the company’s music servers, selected from a pool of music servers residing in its Colorado facility, and provides users with a true “live” CasaTunes experience.

The company believes that the demo offers prospective dealers and customers an easy way to check out CasaTunes without having to purchase and/or install a demo unit.

To access these demo servers, download the latest CasaTunes apps for Android and iOS. When a new user downloads the CasaTunes app for the very first time, the app will display an option to start in demo mode. Existing CasaTunes Android app users should select the menu option and select “Find Server/Demo.” Users on iOS will need to configure the “Enable Demo” option in the CasaTunes Settings. To access the CasaTunes settings, press the home button, press it again, select Settings, scroll down to CasaTunes, and scroll down to “Enable Demo.” The next time you start the CasaTunes app you will have the option to run in demo mode.

CasaTunes offered several precautions to users of the app demo. First, the app demo’s performance will vary based on the user’s internet connection (connection to a WiFi network is preferred). Audio is not forwarded from the music server to the app, so you cannot hear the songs being played. Tthe demo server that users are controlling could be “in use” by various users and there is a finite pool of demo servers available; the demo service will automatically balance the number of clients across the various number of demo music servers available. It is also possible that the number of demo client requests exceeds the number of demo client connections available, in which case the user will receive a message to try later. In addition, each time users connect to a demo server, they may connect to a different physical demo server. Finally, the configuration of the demo servers will be periodically reset.
