Henry Chiarelli will be responsible for leading the company's marketing, merchandising, and purchasing operations as well as driving the company's online marketing initiatives.

Scottsdale, AZ–DBL Distributing Inc. has tapped Henry Chiarelli as chief merchandising officer. Chiarelli will be responsible for leading DBL’s marketing, merchandising and purchasing operations as well as driving the company’s online marketing initiatives and will oversee the maintenance and development of relationships among DBL’s growing stable of more than 380 manufacturing partners.

In addition, Chiarelli will drive the execution of all merchandising and branding activities from concept to delivery related to the company’s award winning “DBL Catalog”, “DBL Sale Flyers”, “DBL Dispatch” and the company’s website at dbldistributing.com. All corporate branding, advertising and public relations activities will be managed under Chiarelli’s direction. Chiarelli will continue to report to chief operating officer Tim Butler and will assume his new role immediately.

“Henry is an expertly trained marketer who brings a retail-centric approach that makes him the ideal candidate to lead our corporate marketing and merchandising operations,” said Butler. “He brings a proven track record in building sales velocity, loyalty and quality service levels among retailers of consumer electronics, leading large and successful teams and a solid understanding of what motivates independent retailers and their consumers. As a long-time advocate of retailers and an active participant in the industry, Henry understands our potential and we believe he will bring great value to DBL.”

Chiarelli joined DBL in August of 2006 following a 30-year career highlighted by stints with Gibson Audio, Comp USA, and RadioShack. Chiarelli is active on various boards, including the Consumer Electronics Association where he is currently the chair of the Education and Best Practices committees for the Accessories Division and serves as a member of CEA’s Board of Industry Leaders. Prior to joining DBL, Henry served on the Board of Directors for Cobra Electronics.

“DBL is building an amazing brand reputation with a strong and growing awareness,” said Chiarelli. “This is a wonderful opportunity to build upon the company’s reputation and lead the team that is responsible for full cycle product marketing – buying, merchandising and marketing 17,000 products from more than 380 brand name manufacturers.” Chiarelli went on to add: “Our ‘Quad Marketing Approach’ comprised of DBL’s award winning ‘DBL Catalog’ supported by monthly sale flyers, daily promotional E-mails and a easy to use transactional website makes us the distributor of choice not only among manufacturers, but also among independent retailers and e-tailers alike.”
