KEF Appoints Eastern Regional Sales Mgr.

Paul S. LaPlaca will lead KEF America's sales strategy in eastern United States.

Marlboro, NJ–KEF America has hired Paul S. LaPlaca as its new regional sales manager. He will head sales efforts within the eastern United States for the wholly owned subsidiary of the U.K.-based manufacturer of speakers and home theater systems.

“We are pleased to have Paul add his experience to our efforts to build our presence in the U.S. market,” said Alec Chanin, president of KEF America. “With his understanding of the custom and retail sectors of the consumer electronics industry, we’re confident he is an excellent addition to our
sales team.”

An industry veteran with more than 24 years of experience, LaPlaca joins KEF after serving as regional manager for four years at Marantz America Inc. Prior to working at Marantz, LaPlaca worked in various divisions of Harman Consumer Group, starting as account executive in 1994 and acting as director of sales for Infinity Systems until his departure in 2001. His responsibilities at KEF America will include developing sales and incentives programs in the eastern territory, and coordinating training programs that support increased sales of KEFs products throughout the region.
