To demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, Meritage Homes is including an energy-efficient home automation lifestyle package in every to-be-built California home sold through the end of the year. Clare Controls comes part of the standard smart home package and provides additional home automation options for security, entertainment, and advanced home management.
The construction firm designs high-performance, affordable homes to be Energy Star certified and can provide significant cost-savings to homeowners. With a complimentary Clare Controls home automation system controller, Aprilaire thermostat, and six-month ClareHome Premium Service, homeowners can control their utility bills and energy usage, while maintaining their own comfort. The energy-efficient system allows residents to pre-program and regulate the home’s temperature throughout the day and throughout the seasons. The ClareHome Premium app enables homeowners to make heating and cooling adjustments remotely, and create their own scenes, schedules, and notifications using a smart device. The app also sends alerts about changes within their home.

Clare Controls installed four interactive Smart Home Display Center kiosks in Meritage Homes Design Centers in Northern and Southern California to help builders take control of the home technology sales process, explain the lifestyle benefits of the technology, and offer upgrade packages to customers.
With Clare Controls, homeowners can scale their smart home systems based on their lifestyle and needs. In addition to the standard smart home package, the systems can be upgraded to add an extra layer of comfort and convenience. Offerings include common area and master suite lighting; enhanced safety and security; and music streaming packages.
