Sioux Falls, SD–Sencore Electronics has created a new four-Day Sencore Academy Professional Certification program. The course will be held in Sioux Falls, S.D., at Sencore factory headquarters.
Attendees learn instrument training, theory, and hands-on calibration activities using test equipment with real-life installation scenarios.
The course is designed for anyone in the field of audio, video, and RF installation and calibration who wants to gain advanced skills. Over 1/3 of seminar time is dedicated to extensive hands-on lab exercises. Through generous donations from major consumer electronics manufacturers, students will be able to gain practical knowledge with the products being installed in today’s home theaters and commercial venues.
Course Description:
Video: Learn the elements of good and bad pictures, video formats and inputs, calibration of display user controls, display geometry, testing and calibrating a color decoder/matrix, and performing white balance calibration.
Audio: One and a half days are dedicated to home acoustics, audio analyzer operation, acoustic calibration, and the art of setting audio calibration. Students will learn how to incorporate acoustic theory into installation applications.
RF: The last day of the course will cover RF transmitting and receiving, working through antennas and the technical aspects of each of the components in the full system. HDTV antenna installation and testing is included during this phase of the training.
Students who successfully complete this course are eligible for CEDIA Education Credits. Tools are provided during the lab portion of the curriculum. Lunch is provided on each day of participation. Attendees also receive a take-home reference manual.
