Since 1969, the Walters-Storyk Design Group has created more than 3,000 recording studios and professional audio production environments for clients, ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Alicia Keys. By joining forces with Maxicon, a 10-year-old Miami-based audio/video design and installation company, WSDG Miami establishes the ability to provide world-class architectural/acoustic design and audio/video integration services to a diverse clientele.

“Having created home theaters for Richard Gere, Clive Davis, and Alec Baldwin, we know these sophisticated rooms require far more than large flat-screen monitors, Blu-ray, surround sound, and plush seating,” WSDG co-principal John Storyk said. “Architectural and acoustical design must be precisely integrated and ‘future proofed’ for new technologies. This is where our studio design experience can be most beneficial.”
Coupling their expertise with the Maxicon team of specialists in high-end residential theatrical, corporate, educational, and house of worship technical design and installation, effectively expands WSDG’s presence into the Florida and Caribbean markets.
Located at 19585 NE 10th Avenue, North Miami Beach, WSDG Miami’s multiplicity of services include innovative lighting design, full audio/video automation, systems integration, and in-house turn-key installation and construction.
The team is led by Sergio Molho, director of international relations; Andrés Klein, director of technology, Samuel Naierman director of engineering; and Ilan Weinstein, director of marketing and new business development.
The new firm’s showroom, incorporates multiple levels of audio/video and automation systems via the Living Entertainment Center (LEC), an elegantly ergonomic living room environment.

A special 15-minute presentation controlled by AMX, Crestron, and Universal Remote Control systems illustrates the full spectrum of audio/video potential available today, while simultaneously demonstrating the company’s extensive line of high-end professional and residential audio/video products and integration solutions, including Adam Audio loudspeakers and SIM2 HD video projectors.
An ongoing program of seminars on acoustic design and integration is being developed for the area’s architects and industry professionals. The firm also offers a one-hour AIA-accredited course in acoustics.
