Pangea Audio has announced the 25th Anniversary edition of its Record Doctor vacuum record-cleaning machines, Record Doctor XI, which simultaneously cleans both sides of a record with quieter operation than previous models.
Shipping this month, the new Record Doctor XI (SRP: $599.95) features the same bi-directional motor, swing arm, and cleaning strip as its predecessor. However, the overall sound of the vacuum is quieter, without sacrificing power or performance.
As the new reference model in Pangea Audio Distributing’s Record Doctor record cleaning machine selection, the Record Doctor XI remains faithful to the original design, with a compact cabinet and a handy storage tank for the simple removal of spent record cleaning fluids.
Its direct-drive, high-torque bi-directional motor runs cool and efficiently after multiple successive cleanings, while the vacuum swing arm removes dirt and dust with maximum suction, yet more quietly than before. In addition, there is a screw-down clamp system that protects the LP’s label and an anti-static goat hair brush for deep-cleaning grooves.
Like the majority of Pangea Audio products, the new Record Doctor XI is shipped in sturdy, eco-friendly, recyclable packaging, bypassing messy and harmful styrofoam.
The new Record Doctor XI record cleaning machine is available in both carbon-fiber vinyl and high-gloss black finishes.
