Key Digital has introduced the KD-X444S extender kit ideal for residential installations requiring extension of HDMI signals up to 18 Gbps via a single CAT5e/6. The HDCP2.2-compliant KD-X444S HDBaseT Tx and Rx kit feature a low-profile slim chassis design with support of all of the latest HDMI standards for the latest digital video needs.
To set it apart from its predecessor, KD-X444L, the KD-X444S is engineered with standard distance requirements in mind, offering a high-quality solution for residential video distribution applications.
KD-X444S features support of HDR10 (High Dynamic Range) video, which allows users to experience more life-like images through a greater range of luminance levels. Key Digital’s HDR10 delivery is handled as part of their proprietary Full-Buffer Technology (FBT).
KD-X444S extends UHD/4K (4096×2160/3840×2160 24/25/30/60 Hz) resolutions at 4:4:4 with bandwidth up to 18 Gbps and audio formats up to Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD Master audio up to 40m (130 feet) using CAT5e/6 cabling; 1080p resolution is extended up to 70m (230 ft) with CAT6 cabling.
The KD-X444S features fully automatic adjustment of feedback, equalization, and amplification depending on cabling length so integrators no longer need to fine tune equalization knobs for each display. The extender set features flexible power over HDBaseT with only one power connection needed with the Tx providing power to the Rx or the Rx powering the Tx.
