They’re essential to the work that you do and yet these less glamorous products of the trade (cable testing equipment, tool belts, needle nose pliers, and drills) don’t often get the same attention in these pages, as the stuff that you actually sell, like speakers, projectors, and control systems. So here’s a humble attempt at giving these newest tools and accessories a little more time in the spotlight.

Klein Tools has added five new products to its Tradesman Pro Organizers line of tool bags. The Lighted Tool Bag (Cat. No. 55431) features a twist on/twist off LED light that can be positioned to illuminate inside the bag or the workspace. The Work Light (#55437), which is also sold separately, has a swivel hook and magnet for hands free use. The Lighted Tool Bag has 31 pockets for plenty of tool storage, a bright orange interior to find tools faster, and a durable molded base that protects from the elements. The 17-inch Tool Tote (Cat. No. 55432) has an attached cover that protects tools and a movable metal handle bar with rubber grip. There are 17 pockets, plus a wide-open section for drills and zipper bags. The new, larger size pliers wrench from KNIPEX eliminates the need for a full set of wrenches by providing the functions of pliers and a wrench all in one tool. With a length of 16 inches and a capacity of 3-3/8-inches, the new pliers wrench XL features excellent gripping, holding, pressing and bending by employing a 10-to-1 lever ratio. The push-button, positive-locking mechanism allows for a wide range of adjustment positions while the gripping jaws remain parallel regardless of handle position.
