The AHA team celebrate their new Boynton, FL location.

AHA Distribution recently hosted a well-attended open house for its fourth location, featuring 24 manufacturers, giveaways and aggressive promotions, in Boynton Beach, FL.

“The place was packed; Way over 100 dealer/integrators walked through the doors,” said Chris Gilray, AHA president. “It was very exciting for us; we’ve only been here for 45 days!”

Formerly the Electronics Source location (a previous Catalyst AV member) allowed AHA to expand its reach to South Florida and Caribbean markets and add additional CEDIA channel brands that can be delivered same-day/next-day throughout Florida.

AHA President Chris Gilray and Boynton Beach GM Chad Sharp.

Chad Sharp, already an industry veteran and GM for the Boynton branch, said the grand opening was an opportunity to show dealers what AHA brings to the table. “This is a fresh approach,” he said. “This is not just about rebranding; this is an entirely new company.”

The Boynton Beach branch is the company’s fourth location, with the other three in Tampa, FL, Marietta, GA, and Charlotte, NC. The new location is at Gateway Blvd and I-95.

Sharp said that what sets his apart from other distributors is nurturing its existing relationships. “Our number one goal is to build relationships with outstanding customer service and a focus on making it super easy for dealers and integrators to do business with us,” he said. “We are all about our customers and making their lives easier; we are customer centric and we will do our jobs better than any other distributor out there!”

Definitive Technology’s Mike Dyer said that this was one of the most exciting show/events of its type that he had ever attended. “Floor traffic was excellent and steady, the atmosphere was very positive, and the dealer/contractors were buying,” he said. “I was very pleased with the level of relationships already established between the AHA team and the local South Florida dealers, considering the AHA facility has been open less than two months. I was also pleased by the number of contractors who know our Definitive Technology brand and are excited that the product will now be available to them locally by AHA. All in all, [it was] a first-rate show assembled and executed by a first-rate team… We’re proud to be associated with AHA Distributing!”

Other manufacturers in attendance included Origin Acoustics, Key Digital, Wilson Electronics, Peerless-AV, URC, IC Realtime, TiVo, CasaTunes, Middle Atlantic, Ethereal, Vivitek, and Séura.

Dealer/integrators are impressed with the overstocked warehouse and easy to access location

Gilray noted that these manufacturers said that they were thrilled with the qualified buyers coming through the front door. “They also commented on our well-stocked warehouse—great for integrators coming in so they can shop at will at such a convenient location,” he said.

All in all, it “the largest most energetic day” in the history of the company,” Gilray said. “We gave away so many great prizes, and dealers will love our special touch of lucrative loyalty rewards programs, frequent newsletters/product updates, aggressive on-site training schedule, and of course our CEDIA channel-centric sales and tech support.”
