CORE Brands has named Nanci Bergman as its director of retail and Internet sales.

Relying on more than 13 years of experience in retail and distribution, Bergman will be responsible for overseeing business development and spurring growth for the group's 10 brands in the retail sector.

Bergman comes to CORE Brands from SOUL Electronics, where she served as vice president of sales. In this role she was responsible for all direct sales and channel marketing to customers and is credited with expanding the company's retail distribution channel to more than 7,800 North American stores in its first year. Previously, Bergman was director of consumer sales at PowerGenix and vice president of sales for Ampergen. She has also held sales, supply chain, and engineering roles with Sanyo Energy Corp.

"I am extremely excited to join the CORE Brands team and represent the established brands and products that are part of the company's audio, control, and power management portfolios," said Bergman. "As CORE Brands launches even more exciting and innovative products, my focus will be to grow the direct retail business."

"Nanci is an important addition to the CORE Brands team, and we are happy to welcome her aboard," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales, CORE Brands. "Over the course of her career, she has cultivated a vast knowledge of the retail channel while establishing solid relationships with the major retailers and industry buying groups. Both of these factors will be instrumental in helping us significantly expand our footprint in the retail sector."

Bergman holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Washington State University. She is based in Petaluma, CA, and reports to Keller.

You must be joking to bring in a person that has worked for a bunch of companys that no one knows about to stop this ship from sinking. WOW great idea blame it all on the new girl its her fault, no better yet bring back the King of cheap Tatoos to do it.

There goes the Custom Integrator context of all their brands. Been in business for over 25 years and an engineer for over 20 more years and never heard of Soul Electronics. Sorry. Wrong move for all Core brands, and I guess just a desperate move by the Group. depending on where they take this will determine if I remain with all products.

It makes me sad to see that you two are so quick to negitivly judge someone that you've never met and know nothing about. And why, because you've never heard of the company that she came from? Really? My guess is you should spend more time with the business plan of your company than sitting on your ass all day bringing down other people who use these forums for e greater good.
