It was not that long ago that I visited Crestron’s world headquarters in Rockleigh, New Jersey, and wrote about my experience on a behind-the-scenes tour of the company’s multiple facilities. At the time the company’s massive Experience Center was still under construction, so I couldn’t say anything about that in my report.

On October 20, I was again invited to tour the company’s facility, this time with the state-of-the-art Crestron Experience Center as the centerpiece of my visit.

More than 700 guests, including Crestron dealers, consultants, architects, lighting designers, media, and government officials took part in the three-hour event. A buffet lunch was served, followed by a press conference, ribbon cutting, and group tours of the 8,000-square-foot suite’s atrium-style grand salon, multimedia presentation room, digital boardroom, Theo Kalomirakis Home Theater, and expansive design studio.

I’ve been in a few demo facilities and experience centers during my career, but this is one of the most ambitious ones that I’ve seen. The theater alone will blow your socks off, proving the Crestron is officially a “home theater company” as its ADMS Delivery System supplied the content and the Crestron’s new Procise receiver created an impressive 7.3-surround (the DPI projector paired with Stewart’s Cinecurve weren’t bad either!)

If you’re a Crestron dealer, I’d highly recommend an appointment-only tour of the facility. In case you won’t be in Rockleigh anytime soon, however, here’s my video tour of the highlights.
