By RS Staff Published: February 1, 2016 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Vivitek Corporation has revealed the company’s newest large venue laser projector, the DU8090Z. The projector is available at an MSRP of $15,495. Built lamp-free, the projector was designed to have a low cost of ownership, require minimal required maintenance, and output stable projection for up to 20,000 hours. The projector can produce up to 8,000 ANSI lumens, with dynamic 10,000:1 contrast ratio. It also features an ACS (auto color sensor) for color and brightness consistency and MPS (multi-projector system) hardware for edge blending, geometry correction, and warping functions. Picture-in-Picture projection allows for simultaneous projection from two different sources. The DU8090Z hooks up via standard display connectivity inputs and outputs, including the following: HDMI v1.4a, DVI-D, Component (5 BNC), VGA-In, 3G-SDI-In/Out, VGA-Out, HDBaseT (content over CAT-5e/6 cable). It has also been engineered with 3D compatibility with DLP Link and HDMI 1.4 interface. It can also be managed remotely via its network connectivity. Being a siginificant investment, the projector comes with a warranty for 5 years parts and labor together with a 3 year Advanced Exchange and is available with a white or black cabinet.
