Sanus is continuing its mission to educate consumers about the risk of TV tip-overs through a partnership with HGTV host and celebrity interior designer, Genevieve Gorder.
Gorder will work with Sanus to raise awareness about TV tip overs. Keeping safety in mind, Gorder will also tout the benefits of mounting your TV as it pertains to space, style, and how it can instantly add a modern look and feel to any room.
“Design is my passion, but as a mother, safety comes first,” said Gorder. “Collaborating with a brand whose mission is at the forefront of safety is such an honor. I am delighted to have the opportunity to educate caregivers across the nation and communicate the importance of a safe, yet stylish home.”
Unsecured flat panel TVs can pose a great risk to consumers, especially to young children. Due to increasing size and new ultra-thin designs, flat panel TVs can easily tip when bumped or pulled, causing them to topple off furniture, potentially causing injury or even death. As reported by the American Academy of Pediatrics study, more than 17,000 children – one every 30 minutes – are treated in emergency rooms across the country for TV related injuries each year.

To aid in the installation process from start to finish, Sanus is also now shipping a new AV accessory line to give consumers the finishing touches needed for their media display. Gorder will offer solutions and recommendations for how to reinvent spaces with her own contributed content for the new Sanus “Spaces” Blog coming in February.
Genevieve Gorder has her own series, Dear Genevieve, on the HGTV cable channel, is a judge on HGTV’s Design Star, and is a host of HGTV’s White House Christmas.
