DPL Labs Founder Leads CEDIA Seminar on HDMI

Jeffrey Boccaccio reveals How to Make HDMI Work for YOU in seminar for CEDIAs new Learning Lab.

Ormond Beach, FL — DPL Laboratories Inc. president Jeffrey Boccaccio will conduct a new seminar titled, How to Make HDMI Work for YOU at CEDIA EXPO in Denver, September 4-7, 2008. The seminar presentation will take place in Room 712 of the Learning Lab on the first floor of the Colorado Convention Center.

Presentations will take place in accordance with the following schedule:
Thursday, Sept. 4: 2:00PM
Friday, Sept. 5: 4:00PM
Saturday, Sept. 6: 1:00PM
Sunday, Sept. 7: 11:00AM

HDMI remains one of the more misunderstood digital signaling solutions for todays installers and integrators of sophisticated home audio/video systems. Industry veteran Jeffrey Boccaccio will discuss the issues and challenges surrounding utilization of HDMI solutions and how best to address the critical factors that are keeping some integrators from fully utilizing this technology. The seminar will include some practical solutions to vexing problems.

As part of his presentation, Boccaccio will also demonstrate testing procedures for DPLs Digital Performance Level HD Performance Testing and Certification Program. While the entire digital performance level testing suite is extensive and time-consuming, Boccaccio has selected certain procedures that demonstrate key elements of the overall program. The demonstration will be more educational than scientific and is representative of but not duplicative of the entire testing process.

Utilizing highly precise state-of-the-art Tektronix test equipment, the demonstration promises to be very informative for those installers and integrators who would like to learn more about HDMI and the DPL testing process. Boccaccio will be available to take questions at the end of each scheduled demonstration.

Space is expected to be limited and show attendees are encouraged to arrive well in advance of the scheduled presentation time in order to be assured of good positioning.

By subjecting HDMI cables and related products to a rigorous testing regime and ranking the resulting performance with a simple numeric rating of 1 to 5 (with 5 being the best), DPL takes the guesswork out of selecting and purchasing HDMI products that are both proper for the intended application, and the best of available choices for the end user. Every day, more consumers are looking to the DPL Performance Certification Seal as their assurance of superior HDMI product performance when making a purchasing decision.
