CEDIA Introduces Crosspoint Web Portal

The portal is a hub of information regarding industry issues, trends, and technologies that shape the CEDIA landscape.

Indianapolis, IN–CEDIA has officially launched one of the most resourceful member benefits exclusively for CEDIA members. CEDIA Crosspoint, a Web portal designed to compile a vast knowledge base of information regarding industry issues, trends, and technologies that shape the CEDIA landscape now and in the future, is now available to all CEDIA members.

Developed by CEDIAs Technology Council, Crosspoint is designed to serve as a direct line of communication with CEDIA manufacturers and other members of the association. The system includes collective information and technology trends to help members not only to build their business, but also remain ahead of industry changes.

Crosspoint allows CEDIA to proactively research and respond to hot issues and future trends keeping CEDIA members at the forefront of the industry, said Rich Green, Technology Council chairman. It will evolve into a powerhouse of resources that will help members get answers to all things technical while gaining useful insight pertinent to the industry.

Crosspoint consists of four major components that foster, monitor and report information including high-profile blogs, forums, an audio and video library, and a resource center. All information will include tag clouds to make navigation user-friendly, and each component will cover an array of categories. In addition, CEDIAs Technology Council will also introduce a Manufacturers Corner to the Crosspoint in the coming months.

As with all innovations, it takes time, said Green. We are encouraging members to volunteer to not only contribute in forum discussions and utilize information in other areas of the system, but to actively participate by sharing best practice tips and even editing content if necessary.

CEDIA is encouraging its members to participate and contribute to CEDIA Crosspoint. Members who would like to contribute a video, article, or other pertinent information to Crosspoint may visit www.cediacrosspoint.com.
